Overview

Each year, VidCon attracts the top internet video creators of our time and their biggest fans. Twitter signed on to VidCon 2017 as a title sponsors, hosting a main stage and VIP green room for the biggest and best creators. Our goal? To cultivate their place in the video creator community by encouraging creators to use the platform, posting native Twitter videos. Praytell was engaged to create real-time, engaging video content featuring the top creators to share on @TwitterVideo (17.2M followers) during the conference.

Our Solution

Praytell responded by creating a customized “Truth or Dare” wheel for Twitter which could be played by creators at a stationary film booth setup inside Twitter’s green room. The film booth was active daily throughout VidCon, and Praytell proactively persuaded some of the top video stars to participate, including Miranda Sings, Baby Ariel, Trevor Moran, Rhett and Link, Glozell, and more. Praytell edited, developed copy and uploaded videos in nearly real time during the three-day conference.

Results

We posted 24 total “Truth or Dare” videos over the course of VidCon – view here, capturing 4+ Million video views and 23.7 Million impressions with retweets from nearly all of the top creators featured. Even more, we’re now besties with many of the top video creators – ready to engage for our next activation!
