Senior Media Strategist
Praytell is looking for a Senior Media Strategist to to work with our public relations clients and drive media relations for (awesome) consumer brands from our Chicago or San Francisco office. This is a full-time, exempt position.

As a Senior Media Strategist you will be:
- Assisting with strategy development with a focus on consumer lifestyle journalists
- Managing proactive and reactive press outreach for key consumer accounts
- Finding creative ways to drive earned coverage, supporting account KPIs
- Networking with reporters/editors to build relationships via coffees, lunches, GIFs and more
- Staying up-to-date on news and media trends impacting client industry and sharing internally
- Collaborating with multiple account teams across the agency to assist with council and outreach
- Participating in mentorship and training programs for junior staff development
Experienced: You have about 3-6 years of experience in consumer public relations within an agency environment. You’re comfortable working across multiple workstreams, developing media strategies and managing media outreach with consumer media.
Proactive Problem Solver: You address issues proactively with fresh ideas and a positive attitude, working to find a new way to drive coverage or address a client challenge.

Relationship Builder: You bring reporter/editor relationships and strive to develop, maintain and strengthen partnerships with key consumer media contacts and internal account teams. You work collaboratively with teammates and peers across departments to deliver the best quality work.
Organization Guru: You’re able to manage your time working on multiple projects for multiple accounts while staying organized and maintaining high-quality deliverables. You’re detail-oriented and don’t miss deadlines, but if you know you will, you’re able to communicate that to your teams and provide alternative solutions.
