Media Strategy Director
Praytell is looking for a Media Strategy Director to oversee corporate communications strategy and media outreach with a focus on business and technology press from our Brooklyn office. This is a full-time, exempt position.

As a Media Strategy Director you will be:
- Developing corporate communications strategies for a range of exciting clients
- Managing media strategy with a focus on business and technology media (journalists/publications)
- Identifying and pitching editorial opportunities on behalf of clients and coordinating coverage
- Finding creative ways to drive earned coverage, supporting account KPIs
- Networking with reporters/editors to build relationships via coffees, lunches, GIFs and more
- Collaborating with multiple account teams across the agency to assist with council and outreach
- Serving as an agency leader offering ideas for educating and improving our agency
Experienced: You have about 6-9 years of experience in corporate communications with business and tech media expertise in an agency environment. You’ve led multiple workstreams, developed corporate communications strategies and new business proposals and continue to be hands-on with business and technology media.
Proactive Problem Solver: You address issues proactively with fresh ideas and a positive attitude, working to find a new way to drive coverage or address a client challenge.

Relationship Builder: You showcase a vast network of reporter/editor relationships and strive to develop, maintain and strengthen partnerships with key media contacts and internal account teams. You work collaboratively with teammates and peers across departments to deliver the best quality work.
Teacher & Mentor: You enjoy mentoring junior staff and serving as a trusted advisor to peers/ senior staff on media strategy.
