Analyzing 2020 Super Bowl Ads by the Numbers: Planters Wins Big, Amazon Flops?

We at Praytell wanted to dive a bit deeper and check out what data we could glean from public sources to identify which brands generated a sustained lift beyond the immediate chatter their ads generated. We looked at changes in search volume, social followers and Twitter mentions for 13 ads considered the ‘best’ by industry publications. Here is what we found, with some unexpected winners and losers.

When I Was an Intern: Trent

Reaching out to a Praytellian way back in 2017 through a mutual connection! Once I heard the name Praytell, I researched a tad more about the company and set up a quick informational phone call; a year later, I applied to Praytell by sending in my resume, cover letter, and writing test. Two weeks later, it was official — I’d be moving from rainy Seattle to sunny Los Angeles to start the summer internship!

When I Was an Intern: Marissa

After earning my Bachelor’s degree, a close family-friend and killer PR pro took me under her wing to help me with the daunting post-graduation job search. Although she shared a variety of options with me, I was most excited when she introduced me to Andy and Sanji at Praytell. The wide range of clients and the strong emphasis on company culture really enticed me from the get-go, and I was thrilled when they offered me a chance to intern here.

When I Was an Intern: Emily

Texting Erin Fisher that I still REALLY wanted the internship after my last failed attempt in the fall. Persistence is key my friends.

When I Was an Intern: Lania

First responding to Rachel Dely’s shared post from the Praytell Facebook page. I was so excited about the opportunity that I responded super fast and accidentally re-shared the post she shared back to her without any additional information. She responded, “Oh hey! Are you interested” and I then proceeded to ask her many many questions about Praytell before hitting send on my application to Sanji.

When I Was an Intern: Maggie

Searching for small agencies, finding Praytell through The Muse, and emailing Grace (who, at the time, was a strategist, copywriter, account lead and Praytell’s only form of HR all at once) several times with the intro “Hello Ms. Kang,” because I considered myself a child and her an adult. This is hilarious to me now, as she has now possessed on her phone for a few years a selfie video I once sent her of myself drunkenly eating a 2am burrito

A Week in the Intern Life: Puppies, Beers, and Teamwork

Hello! I’m Christine, a PR intern at Praytell Agency. I’m basically an influencer so I know that you’re all interested in a week in my life! Let’s jump in because I’m on the clock, and it is busy busy at Praytell. Let’s dive in with this cleverly edited list of things I do every day and things I did maybe once but I’m trying to impress the reader so I added them to the list anyway.
