Remember “MTV Cribs”? Celebrities would show off their luxurious homes, fancy cars and gold plated toilets. When our in-house work from home expert Jeannie Evanchan asked employees to share their favorite office spaces for an internal training, she was blown away by just how pretty (and inventive) they are—think “Cribs,” but with one-hundredth the budget!
Inspiration #1 - Plants, Good Lighting and Cute Dogs (Austin)Erika Morgan has utilized one of the most important elements of working from home - having windows and natural light. She’s also facing them, which gives prime lighting for her daily video calls. Like many Praytell employees, Erika is plant obsessed and has added several to her space which not only contributes to happiness but also healthier air. As an added bonus, she has two cute dogs keeping her company!
Inspiration #2 - Southwest Vibes (Los Angeles)Marisa Bettencourt is giving us some major Southwest decor vibes. What we love: the unique wooden desk, pretty plant, vibrant painting and the cactus plant next to her. She also invested in a ring light to help give her face some extra lighting (and drama) during her daily video calls.
Inspiration #3 - Clean, Crisp and Bright (Los Angeles)No this isn’t a stock photo we purchased, this is the real life set up of designer Daniel Cruz. Isn’t it pretty? What we love: the solid (and very clean!) desk, a second monitor to give his eyes a reprieve and the plant wall installation. He also has several plants behind him, which makes for the perfect background for every video call.
Inspiration #4 - A Good View is All You Need (Spain)Our London-based Hannah Gandevia has been spending time in Spain to help assist with childcare for her two sons and just look at those views! We’re not quite sure how you’d beat a view of a national park in Spain, so let’s just move on.
Inspiration #5 Pinterest Chic (Austin)CJ Holce is giving us some major Pinterest inspiration. What we love: the pretty desk (purchased at Target), matching mirror, a monitor stand which gives her extra storage and the two delicate plant leaves to add a pop of color.
Inspiration #6 - So Fresh and Clean (Brooklyn)Kendel Goonis has also mastered the art of facing a window (it’s very difficult) and her desk styling features pops of bright colors and flowers to help brighten even the rainiest of days. Plus, all the added organization for files helps keep the space declutter.
Inspiration #7 - Boho Chic (San Francisco)Colvin Kuhn has mastered the art of boho chic. She utilized a smaller space with just the right amount of decorations including the plant, mirror and wall decor. The keys to working from home long-term: investing in a comfy chair and a space heater for chilly spaces. Bonus points for getting the same candles as the one in the San Francisco office so she can have associative productivity! (She misses us.)
