    Intern

    Praytell, San Francisco

Praytell is looking for a PR and social intern to join our creative communications agency.

We're a rapidly growing crew with offices in San Francisco, Brooklyn, Los Angeles, and Austin, with PRWeek’s Agency of the Year, Holmes Best New Agency and PRWeek’s Best Places to Work awards under our belt. We've got killer client partners, culture you can’t beat and serious momentum.

To support our rapidly growing west coast team, we’re looking to hire a part-time PR and social media intern with 1-2 years of general work experience. The internship is paid ($13/hr), office snacks are plentiful and we have a beautiful new office to work out of in the financial district.

Role

Social Media / PR Intern

Start Date

June 1

Responsibilities

  • Support both our current clients and the development of new business proposals and pitches, participating in creative idea development and extensive market and social media research
  • Monitor and track media coverage for client reporting
  • Create targeted media pitch lists
  • Draft social content (Tweets, Facebook posts, Instagram posts), media pitches, press releases and other press materials
  • Engage and monitor our client’s online social communities
  • Conduct social media reporting - monitoring online discussions and translating findings into recommendations for clients as well as digging into social media metrics for reporting
  • General administrative responsibilities (this doesn’t mean getting coffee, but please note that as part of our office culture, we all pitch in to help out with smaller tasks around the office)
  • Oh, and you'll occasionally be the subject of our Snapchats. You've been warned.

Qualifications

  • Must be entering your senior year in college or have already graduated
  • Have had 1-2 years of general work experience and know how to operate in a business environment
  • A personality that thrives with a somewhat schizophrenic culture – sometimes super low-key start-up, sometimes a surprisingly formal and buttoned up affair
  • Strong knowledge of popular culture and obsessive attention to detail
  • Active on social media
  • Interest in helping to develop consumer facing social media content
  • Exceptional written and oral communications skills with understanding of AP Style
  • Don't forget to tell us which of our clients you'd want to work with most in your cover letter.
  • Support both our current clients and the development of new business proposals and pitches, participating in creative idea development and extensive market and social media research
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet stated deadlines
  • Must live in or around San Francisco and be able to come into our office during the week

If you think you have what it takes, send us your resume and a cover letter that tells us why you're the right person to join us on this incredible journey. And like any good pitch, the subject line matters, big time.

Be sure to check us out at Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Caution, it gets weird!
